Mike participated in a panel discussion: Thinking Outside the Box: The New Mediation Mindset with Jayne Carlson of JDC Consulting, LLC; Rebekah Ratliff of JAMS ADR; and Nigel Wright of Limerston Holdings, LLC.
Since mediation is where more matters are headed because of the backlog of cases in the courts that need to be resolved, it’s important to know how to approach them. The panel touched on:
- How do you choose a mediator?
- What value do subject-matter experts bring to the evaluation and negotiating table?
- How can technical subject-matter expert mediators help to ensure that different angles are examined when crafting messages for negotiation?
The panel also shared different perspectives on how neutral selection can lead to more equitable outcomes.
